What are Teen Boarding Schools?
Boarding Schools are not typically therapeutically based. Schools that
involve boarding are usually based on academics, tradition, and ethics,
Boarding Schools are the alternative to a teen who may be struggling with
school, peer pressure, minor authority problems, and educational
disabilities. Traditional Boarding Schools house students and operate 24
hours a day. The focus is on intense schooling and College Preparatory.
Classes in teen boarding schools are typically small, individualized, and
provide intense study with a safe atmosphere. Often they provide an
education plan and required college testing criteria. Mentoring is the
norm because of the constant work and activities involving students and
staff. Depending on specific teen Boarding Schools, sports programs might
also be an option of availability.

What are Religious Boarding Schools?
Religious Boarding Schools come in a number of styles and structures, with
the most common being in a traditional style setting as well as those that
are in a Home setting with Family values and structure. Religious
Boarding Schools are a good placement for a teen who is; struggling with
parent divorce, family death, not focusing in school, peer issues, minor
acting out, disrespect toward parents, and other non violent and minimal
physiological issues. Therapy can usually be offered by a professional,
though most of the therapy and structure comes from the family atmosphere
provided by the program. The setting for a Religious Boarding School is
usually small and comfortable for the teen. Various religious views may
be administered in a boarding school of this type.

Religious Boarding Schools typically serves a teen that has a great deal
of potential and a good heart, yet is currently off track, lost, and
wandering where a teen is in need of immediate redirection. Religious
Boarding Schools train and equip teens to lead a powerful religious
centered life.

What are Therapeutic Boarding Schools?
Troubled teenagers come to therapeutic boarding schools from a broad
spectrum of family backgrounds, at different stages of development,
awareness and pain.

Therapeutic boarding schools are similar to traditional boarding schools
along with a therapeutic component. Therapeutic boarding schools are
commonly known as Residential Treatment Centers. Therapeutic boarding
schools will have a therapeutic structure with individualized and group
sessions. This types of teen boarding schools should offer more
supervision and structure for a teen with developed issues that will be

therapeutic boarding schools. Some therapeutic boarding schools deal with
minor cases of ADD/ADHD, Bipolar, OCD, Dyslexia, and some low functioning
teen students with I.Q. s above 85. All teen therapeutic boarding schools
have their discretions.

Most therapeutic boarding schools for teens offer individual counseling,
under the supervision of a licensed therapist, to address emotional,
behavioral and educational issues to help adolescent students overcome
emotional scars.

Some therapeutic boarding schools for teens offer group therapy which is
conducted by a qualified counselor, staff, and/or trained volunteers who
